Bird Ringing

I photographed this Dunnock on our front lawn and then noticed it was one of our ringed birds. You can make out the ring on the right leg.

21/03/14- today I got the nets open for a short while and caught 11 birds.

29/12/13– A short ringing session this morning produced a good number of birds, 25 in 2 hours. It started with a few Blackbirds, Robins and Dunnock. Then the Blue Tits started to appear. I managed to retrap a Great Tit, a Robin and a Blue Tit all of which were ringed in the garden in 2011.

07/11/13—– At last I have managed to get some mist nets open in the garden. I have caught 62 birds in total.

The highlights were Pied Wagtail and Goldcrest.
