Don Impey thinks that this picture was taken about 1948 and these people are (L to R, back to Front): Dick Oakley (Ivy's husband), Bill Fleckney (Doreen's husband), Cecil "Knocker" Brown, Alf Goodwin (umpire), John Oakley (he lived in the house behind Berrystead), Pat Barr, Rex Jeffs; Ted Jarvis (the butcher), Ben Oakley (brother to Dick), Michael Anstey (he had the coal merchants in Woburn Sands), Ken Cousins, Frank Fleet (captain and father of Ann), Tom Brazier (in jacket).

  1. Hi,great to see these old pictures! Ken cousins was my Grandad’s brother,i didn’t get to meet him as I know he died young.

  2. Ted Jarvis the butcher. The same as A.E Jarvis, family butchers from Aspley Guise? This would probably date the photo to some time in the ’60s
